Dr. Moore’s education began with a degree in physiology at UC Berkeley, then moved forward to medical school in San Francisco at CCPM, and finished his surgical training in Houston Texas at the Harris County Program.
He has been in private practice since 1993 in Houston and surrounding areas. Dr. Moore is also active in the community and his involvement in the residency program as a surgical instructor consistently provides his patients with current, effective, cutting-edge treatment. His attention to details in the operating room inspired him to design and patent a bone fixation screw in 1998 that is still in use today.
His knowledge base does not stop at the lower extremities and in 2004 he wrote a book on weight management and wellness – Body of Knowledge. Dr. Moore’s contribution to the current health care and obesity crises is simplified in his mission statement:
“Our mission is to provide you the tools that give you the ability to create and maintain a healthy lifestyle that adapts to change—one that naturally manages your weight, keeps you fit, promotes good health, and gives you a Body of Knowledge”
Dr. Moore is an experienced practitioner with all areas of foot and ankle treatment and all age groups, but has a unique treatment philosophy – “Always listen to patients and give them choices”
Every patient has three options:
1. No Treatment (Consultation, advice, or second opinion discussion)
2. Conservative Treatment (Medication, injection, casting, orthotics, etc.)
3. Surgical Treatment (In-office, Out-patient facility, local/sedation/general anesthesia)
Dr. Moore’s philosophy on patient care and their clinic experience is simple; “We are in the smile business”. Our staff considers each patient’s unique set of physical, mental, financial, and time issues to make their experience a pleasant as possible. We offer same day and next day appointments for all new patients and communication is a high priority. Dr. Moore has recently made IT a high priority so patients can contact the clinic not only with a traditional phone call, but faster and easier by email, text, Facebook, YouTube and Twitter. He has also constructed one of the most interactive websites on the market designed to provide patient’s needs and helpful.
